Tell him to call big brother Landon to help him out.

What happened to us being thin at DE?
Well, we also have QB issues... and GW likes to try and beat them up. So it's a wash.

In all frankness, don't blame Miles and actually say "good move". The odds are in favor it would be a wasted scholarship at a time where we're lucky to have star players for 2.75 years (including injuries & frosh adjustments).

I wouldn't blame him for giving him a 2nd (5th really?) chance. But my money is on he would regret that.

I'm also willing to bet Frank had something strong to say about this too.

We are thin we just don't want players who are gonna fight other players over free cleats and stuff

Should've given him a chance. Prolly in the minority.

Reading between the lines...maybe we're in better position for some heavy hitters come signing day.

If that in fact did go down, I'm proud of Les for that. LSU isn't anybody's fallback school once a kid fricks up with his first choice.

Im all for second chances, but I recently talked to the A.D. at my alma mater, Edna Karr and he told me over the Thanksgivin Break that he was not worth the risk. Knowing what I know about my former coach who inspired me to become a math teacher, spoke volumes about his character

Great post. I'm a HUGE believer in second chances. But I think this kid may be on his way to some serious stuff. It's not that he is a screw-up. It's that he is the kind of screw-up that has victims. He just doesn't seem to care about other people. He's a bully with a huge sense of entitlement and the cluelessness of youth with the additional baggage of his upbringing.

Think about HOW EASY it is to be funneled into a program. You have EVERY advantage that the normal college kid never gets. It's almost difficult to screw it up. And this kid has been a multi-offender at a school known to have a very high tolerance for that stuff. It's just not a good percentage play here for Les, the risk far outweighs the reward.

That said, I hope he totally proves me wrong, learns to play well with others in the sandbox and goes on to be a productive human being. Just somewhere else.

It's not that he can't be forgiven; we all want forgiveness for our bad behavior. It's the TRUST issue. We Don't want his brother calling Bama with LSU inside info even if it's just minor stuff.

dont want that in your locker room. We have guys who get in trouble also but adding Willis will only make more trouble for himself and the people around him. Plus he turned us down last year when we needed him and now he has to lie in the bed he made

This. Pretty big difference between a freshman lighting some Black Cats in a teammates apartment punching your backup QB.

A lot of LSU players were given more than 2nd chances.

What kind of logic is this? Had he gone to LSU Miles would be kicking him off our team. His trouble had nothing to do with what school he selected.

I get the move, but personally I would take him on a zero-tolerance policy. Great talent, and if he acts up just once you drop him. Then if he gets let go from a second school in 2 years, it just makes him look like a problem that can't be fixed, not an LSU institutional issue.

Florida had him on a zero tolerance policy right before they kicked him off the team.

Dude got in a twitter spat with a future teammate. Had two fights with current teammates and pushed Jameis on the sideline. No thank you plus he almost got expelled at Karr not to mention wanting to fight and not shaking hands after the state championship. Bad choices no, the guy has a shitty attitude. All this within a span of one year

Just risk/reward evaluation...not worth the risk. He got into trouble multiple times at UF, and was not a dominant player.

PLUS...next year DL is loaded in La. and we are at the top for multiple 5* out of state DL.
