These guys have trouble creating against a zone. Coaching or basketball IQ whatever the reason they all have trouble and we result to shooting 3s

We only have two options that I've seen. We do some high/low from FT line to post that does work some.

We also are able to get some open looks at 3, but we're not a good enough shooting team to rely on that (look at this past weekend).

Zone O is just awful if we aren't hitting 3's. That is why I think if we go stagnant we should just press or set up some Half court trap defense to get some turnovers and get some guys flowing.

The way I look at it is this:

We have 5-6 guys who are really good college players. They all could be the star of most teams out there. Getting them to play together requires some discipline on the court, which most of our guys clearly lack. I think our PG position needs to be the pacemaker or showstopper if you will. He needs to demand the ball and orchestrate the offense. What Gray brings is more of a quick-scoring option, which is very useful at times.
However, I think Martin and Mickey should work in tandem off the ball while our PG runs the show. I just see too much chaos with Gray at the point.

There's no reason we are so terrible at zone o other than the coach. There's nothing complicated about beating it. Move the ball, penetrate, find the open spots at the elbow and the short corner. Passing the ball slowly around the perimeter will eventually lead to a long three. The ball needs to get inside, but most importantly, the ball needs to move quicker, much quicker than what we do.

quit catching the ball 4 feet behind the 3 point line, can't run an offense from there.

A team plays zone b/c they either are too nonathletic to play man, or they know their opponent can't shoot and are poorly coached. Every team we play sits in a zone most of the game. How we haven't learned how to beat it is beyond me.
