And the rest of society should pay above market price because of this?

Where did I say this? Market price is market price. But today was one of the hardest things I've had to do in management. And it would have been equally as difficult no matter what field I was in. I understand people get laid off every day but it sucks.

And yes, our wages were inflated because of the price of oil. We were brought down to earth today though. I don't believe I even complained about the cut that I took but I still have people giving me shite

Would be nice for those who have to buy gas for it to be lower, and we outnumber O&G workers.

$60/barrel is more than enough for all companies to make tons of money.

I don't listen to the complaints on here, because it means instead of buy a King Ranch, they are having to buy a Work Truck. Tough times.

this ... x 10000000000000 ... a person making 6 figures that past 4-6 years could have a house paid off ...

I'm seriously concerned about the quality of my food if the O&G trash ends up in restaurants.

Yep.

Bring on all the dums talking about O&G collusion or other miscellaneous, whining, populist drivel.

Your previous post seemed to imply that Scruffy should be sad that he is paying less for gas because people are going to lose their jobs and make less money.

If that wasn't the case, he apologizes.

Scruffy does not feel sad for having to pay less for gas.

If we get a legit renewable energy platform, oil may never reach $50 a barrel.

Many of the ones telling people it's their fault for picking a volatile profession are the same ones that gripe about O&G salaries. Not sure how that makes sense in their heads.

I just feel sorry for people with budgets so tight that an extra $30 on a fill up makes a difference.

They must not make oil and gas money.

It's at ~$46 right now. What happens if Chinese demand picks up and rig count drops under 1,100 this year?

Scruffy I don't feel sad either paying less for gas. Nothing but positives for me when gas is cheaper. What is a negative for those that don't live in big O&G states when gas is cheaper?
