Inexpensive trail cameras

Needing to buy a couple to put up on a new piece of land. What's some decent ones for $150 or less?

Plenty at that price point. I like moultrie but get cams that use AA batteries and fill them with lithiums and you should be good all season.

We have Brownings and they have been great. $129

My browning range ops were under 100 and did great all season. Have been impressed.

Like my browning and moultrie. Some decent ones on the moultrie site for under 100 refurbished.

I think it's just luck of the draw. I've seen $250 cuddy backs that didn't last a season and $75 WGI that did great. Bought two Primos at the same time one took pics one didn't.
Personally had the best luck with a Moultrie, they say to set them facing north cause the heat from the sun and wind moving branches can cause them to take pictures without an animal in the frame.

I've had good luck with the Wildgame Innovations cameras recently. 3-4 years ago they were junk. The new ones rock. Believe its called the nano? 4 AA's lasted all season and the pics look better than my iphone 5s (daytime).
Just as an FYI.. some trail cam tips that've increased my pic count and quality
-Face camera North or South when possible
-Face the camera almost parallel, but intersecting, to the trail/feed/feeder you're trying to monitor. Perpendicular doesn't work nearly as well

Switched to Brownings from Moultrie this year. They lasted this year so far and took some good pics. More than I can say for any Moultrie I've ever had.

Are you saying that you want to get it to where the deer/hogs are either walking slightly away/towards the camera? (more of a vertical/horizontal movement in the frame than strictly horizontal)

Had Moultrie's for a few years. Problems with both of them. Went to Browning and so far so good.

Yep. If you're looking at a watch and the deer trail runs from 12 o'clock position to 6 o'clock position, you want your camera at the 5 o'clock position facing 11 o'clock.
make sense?

Yeah makes sense on a trail, but seems like it would be harder with a feeder (usually in a more open area) to accomplish that versus a dedicated trail. I always tried to set up a camera 10-15 yards off a feed pile or a feeder but keep the feed dead center cause you never know where they're coming from.
