I Feel Bad, So Let Me Complain

The high number of experts who post on this board is very impressive. We have folks who know how to coach and play every sport, especially football, basketball and baseball, but - due to their pursuit of more impressive careers in other fields - could not lower themselves to be "mere" coaches. We can look to these experts to tell us just how crappy LSU coaches are and how weak this or that player is.
We also have a huge number of crybabies. "Oh, so and so missed that important shot, let me get on the Internet and whine about how pitiful he is." "Oh, we lost that game, let me share my wounded feelings with others of like spirit. We can all have a pity and gripe party. We can all agree on how we would have done things much better."
I prefer that LSU wins every game in every sport. But, it's ridiculous to so invest one's happiness in life in whether LSU achieves that goal or not. A lot of people on here seem so traumatized by a loss that I can almost see them crying as they type out their lamentations on this board.
Other teams have good players. Other teams have good coaches. Just because we lose a game we could have won does not mean that our coaches and players are bad.

Does not compute.

Really? We have some of the best players n the NCAA. If we don't get a defense coach soon we wont re cute shite this year!

Yet he continues to come back and read.
TD is like crack. You know it's bad for you but it makes you feel so alive.

I think it's complaining about complaining.

I agree with most of that. However, I can't say that I'm not guilty of doing some of the things that you're complaining about at times. I think it's kinda what this board is for?

English translation please?

But your crying is ok.

I know it gets toxic, but:
1) a team being closely followed by a big dedicated fan base is good,
2) that dedication likely often translates to dollars spent,
3) would you rather people not care as much or settle for mediocrity?

I want their problems for a change, or is that too much?

THIS!!! I used to be that way too, investing so much emotion into my teams. Once you realize that only 1 team will win every year, one team's fan base will end the year happy and everyone else will be upset, you realize it's a fools game to get so emotionally invested.
I'm trying very hard to become even less of a fan, to where I can miss games and not care. I envy fair weather fans. Bash if you must.

Interesting to read some of the replies ... kinda supports the old saying "if you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that gets hit will yelp".

If we are talking about men's basketball…last night's loss was painful because teams that have aspirations of making the NCAA tournament do NOT lose games like that. They go on the road and take care of business against a team that is inferior. It is frustrating for the basketball die-hards here who have been with this team for years through thick and thin just waiting for SOMETHING positive to happen…some sign that good things are coming to those who have waited…and what happens? The team once again goes out and steps on its dick. I don't claim to be a know it all about basketball and I don't coach. I am not pointing a finger at anyone specifically…but that game last night should have been a W.
