Looking for an easy store bought solution as I'm making these for a kids birthday party and will need about 40-50. Wanted to get some input before I just went and bought a bunch of crescent rolls. I was considering pizza dough too.

They've got ready made dough balls at the grocery store. But you probably won't get the same fluffy dough that you'd get with some old fashioned Pillsbury crescent rolls.

Buy the cheapest biscuit dough available. A little secret..... if you don't feel like baking it you can drop them in a deep fryer, make sure the hot dog is completly wrapped. If you want to get fancy you can use cheesy dogs. My kids live them.

My CSB. Everyone laughed at me when I brought some to a pot luck dinner for ou4 Mardi Gras float. They were the first thing to go.
