What are some good stocks to buy here to try to take advantage of this downturn in oil prices?

I am looking at HAL, SLB, CVX and BP...all of them are priced close to their 52 week lows. Any other suggestions?

Just read an article on HAL. Basically, its operations won't slow as much due to the maintenance of existing fields. LINK

I picked up some CVX at around 100, but it's still a good buy for long term hold in my opinion. I think many of the bigger o&g companies could benefit from this drop in the long term when they start snatching up some of the smaller guys.

I'm leaning towards an Energy Fund, so someone with more knowledge than me can spread it around.

VEGNX or VDE

Why do you think they are going to go back up? I work in O&G and I want em to go back up probably more than the next guy but i'm not so sure its going to happen any time soon.

Probably a lot of stocks that are overbought by now, but food and beverage companies. Price of corn has been quite low on the heels of a strong growing season, fuel price descent will be a windfall for both the companies themselves and consumers who will eat out more. Fundamentals are strong overall on both supply and demand side.

Oil tankers have had a phenomenal run lately...risky and no idea how long the party will last. Every time Dennis gartman or another trader comes on CNBC and mentions them, they catch another ride up....FRO, TNK, NAT
