Microsoft May Be Looking To Sell Xbox Entertainment Studios To Warner Bros.

Microsoft investors want new CEO to kill Xbox

Bill Gates hints that Microsoft could sell off its Xbox division

Interesting, not too surprising we've heard this for awhile. Obviously nothing set in stone. And no, I don't give a shite how this relates to Sony or Playstation in any way, just thought it was interesting.

Wonder who might buy it? Amazon? Warner Bros?

You don't know attack of the fanboy? One of my favorite gaming sites from layout to content. It's quite large these days.

Forbes last year said Warner Bros

It doesn't make them money so I could see it. Hopefully Amazon or Google would pick it up.

The reasoning was pretty thin in that article. If Microsoft did sell Xbox or if Sony does ever go bankrupt I do believe Amazon will be the first to run in and scoop up whoever.

Hopefully not Amazon, that's who I want to buy the Playstation brand if Sony ever goes under.

Warner Bros were the likely candidate according to most last year.

Amazon seems like they really want a shot, would be awesome seeing what they could do.

That's a fairly empty article. From what I read, the analyst thinks they will sell because Satya is unpredictable and Microsoft is a "computing" company.

For sure, but it's not like this wasn't something that all over the place in 2014 from pretty much any major site.

Whether or not it finally does happen who knows, but there has been a ton of smoke on it since last year.

Amazon would be amazing for either platform. What if Amazon ended up getting both and made one super console with upgradeable parts and what not?

However unlikely, it would be ironic if Microsoft and Sony sold off their gaming divisions that Nintendo would just keep chugging along. They have survived countless material shifts in the industry.

Agree, but this isn't new news either, it was all over the place in 2014. So this analyst is just predicting what others said last year and probably wanted to be the first to say it in 2015.

It doesn't make money, share holders have wanted to cut the cord after the original Xbox.

They keep it around for mindshare.

I dont know what it would actually mean if rhis were to happen. After repeated statements from xbox ceo that this is not happening and Microsoft going with the cortana themed voice thing i dont see this happening because some analyst thinks so

Samsung will definitely try to get Playstation brand if it ever became available.

This is the shirt for the upcoming MS event

Where they are likely going to discuss the big move to Windows 10 on the Xbox and Xbox to Windows 10.

They are also likely going to be announcing their version of VR this summer.

So just continue to laugh at UH

One of those articles did say that Xbox is in the black now. They have been gaining steam and announcing with windows soon. I just don't see it.

I am interested to see which company leaves the game first. I would love for Nintendo to be a large player again but no one know what their next move is.

It's not news at all actually. It's baseless speculation.
