Season Ticket renewals and overall commitment

I grew up barely getting to go to games. One a year. IN adulthood, in the depth of the bad 90's, I scored tickets. I've retained them since then.
I see some people claiming they will not renew their season tickets and I wonder if that is just emotional ranting. Even though there is a lot of crap that challenges my fan hood, I could not bring myself to not renewing them, as i know how long it would be to try and reverse that decision.
So, all these people who say they will cancel, I just don't buy it, and I don't think Alleva and others do either.
We are emotionally-trammeled to the LSU football team. We aren't going anywhere. Maybe a small number would get fed up and cancel, but only if they have crappy seats or have access to tickets another way.
What do you think is the case with others/most?

I've had season tickets since the 70's. Read into it what you want.

I think you will see lot of turnover this coming season; I will not renew if can't sell on ticket board, just can't pay $3,100 for a pair with parking before leaving the house.
Lets see some the CLM lovers step up and write the check! I would be honored to sell to any of them.

I've got double digit tickets. I quit going to games and sell them all. My kids may want them one day which is the only reason I keep them at all.

For me it's not just about the money but the time spent on attending a game. Assume that others also feel the same way. I don't have confidence in Miles.

As someone who did not renew last season, I can say I fully enjoyed this past season watching from my living room. I saved a lot of money and time. LSU has made it too difficult to attend games with the parking/traffic problems. I even turned down free tickets to one game since I didn't want to deal with that hassle.

I believe LSU is starting to price themselves out of the market.
They are raising prices at the same time they added capacity. That will do a lot of satisfy the demand. Add in the fact that several of the games are crap games, combined with the fact the team has gone down a notch, and it's easy to see the problem.
Traffic is horrible. Stuff in the stadium is expensive. Every home game has been on tv for a few years now - even the terrible ones.
My FIL had tickets for a number of years, gave them up, and then got them again in 2002. He gave them up before this season. $1,800 for 2 tickets was just too much for him. I had the opportunity to pay for them, but with my work schedule, I really can't make any games before mid-October. So I would be able to go to at most 3-4 games. And most of the games I would miss were the crappy ones that I couldn't sell.

I sold my tickets in August because I was not going to make a few games. I ended up selling them at a loss. I was able to purchase tickets on the secondary market for a couple games well below face value. I am considering giving up my tickets this year.

Well, congratulations. You are truly a super fan. You're also the reason ticket prices continue to skyrocket and why LSU hasn't played a quality nonconference opponent at home in several years. The administration knows they can count on screwing the blind loyalists like you to help keep the money flowing. But if I still had tickets, another .500 or worse SEC season coupled with another year of QB play that would be embarrassing for a high school team would drive me to drop my tickets.

season tix since 2001 and i cant imagine not renewing .... also there is a waiting list for those who refuse to renew .....

until we have a couple of losing seasons in a row, 99% will renew season tics...and we are not close to having multiple losing seasons in a row...

I planned giving my 8 tickets to my family before the sad coaching performance. I may attend a game or two but I cannot stand to see talent wasted which LM continues ti do.
My biggest problem is his reluctance to adjust and change in which every fan knows he should.

We led the sec in ticket sales last season. They prob only went up this year, maybe not as high as bama, but they still making money even if some of y'all don't renew now. It hasn't got to that point yet.

I think next year will finally be the year that the shite hits the fan with ticket sales. It's been coming for a while, but the economy has been good, so the negative impact has been minimal.
The LSU offense will be a shite show again next year. The schedule sucks. There are alot more seats now that need to be filled and I think people are just tired more than ever of the parking fees and bad traffic.
