My favorite character by far being Jimmy, he was so fricked up but dedicated to his work.
The scene where the FBI agents are going over the serial killer profile that's basically describing McNulty while he sits there smirking is one of the best moments in the show.

Bodie and Snoop were my two favorite. I love the way those two went out, bodie went down fighting, and Snoop accepted her fate like a true G. After finishing the series, I rewatched the entire thing. I enjoyed it even more the second time around. I caught a lot of subtle things the second time that I missed the first time, which made it all that much greater.

Andy Belflour is my fav character on TrueBlood so naturally I was really bummed on how it went down with Frank Sabaka. Although Ziggy was so annoying.

He should've taken better care of his duck. That duck was cool.

I need to give the series another watch. I completed it a few years ago and really liked it when I was done. I'd say it's still probably in my top 5 favorite shows. However, for whatever reason, I find myself turned off by the fan boy reactions to the show and people taking any criticism of it as "hating" or whatever term you want to use. I guess the easiest way to put it is that I love the show, but hate the fans.

I just rewatched the series (most episodes) since I was off work this week... Hadn't really seen it since it originally aired... I'm glad I did, because I had forgotten some things and moments...
Jimmy was easily my favorite character...
I could see hating Herc in real life, but he provided a lot of comic relief as a character..
Cheese and Fruit were the only two characters I actually hated..
Edit: I take that back, the lawyer, Levy... The absolute worst..

Snoop was one of the worst characters on the show. Partlow did all the heavy lifting, but she acted like she was a bad arse. She brought nothing to the table.
Her last lines said all, more concerned about image than anything.

That's because the actress IS a true G.

When you really analyze the level of acting - top to bottom - on this show, it was really top-notch. Perhaps even more so than The Sopranos - it showed what great casting decisions can do for a show like this. This was a large cast of virtually unknown actors, and I can't name a regular cast member that delivered performances below B, B+ - even the kids.

I forgot his name, but the big fat cop who was always eating was a funny guy. I liked him.

For being a Drama, it actually had some pretty funny scenes. The "F*ck" investigation scene was great, but when D left Poot in charge for an hour made me

I would even call it a dramedy (or at least it is close enough to argue) - most characters had multiple comic moments and more than a few were heavily comedic (Bunk, Clay Davis, Landsman, Slim Charles, etc.). The gangsters trying to use Robert's Rules, the gallows humor among the cops and gangsters - while it was fairly dark at times, the show would not have had the impact as a straight, serious drama. It is also more realistic as people use humor as a coping mechanism in situations exactly as depicted in the show.
