Some of the fans of the West programs didnt like to hear it but the evidence of the vast overrated nature of the West was pretty evident early on.

Weird that fans of every other conference still use the SEC as their personal benchmark, judging by the number of threads about it, though?
I can assure you that, when Florida State loses, the number of "ACC...amirite?" threads will be minimal to non-existent.

Mississippi schools were overrated. MSU got credit for beating Texas aTm when people thought SCar and aTm were good. Turns out both were dogshit. They barely beat LSU and lost to Bama, then got beat by Ole Miss. Ole Miss got shite on by 7-6 Arkansas 30-0 and lost to god-awful LSU. MSU had a favorable schedule and beat aTm at the right time and Ole Miss was just flat out overrated all year. Two teams does not equal the entire conference.
