Skunked in gueydan this morning. I've killed more deer than ducks this season. I've never been able to say that.

Have sat in the ground blind almost all day. Took an hour for lunch and haven't seen a thing. My wife is holding strong in a box over a plot. Not much rain here in Camden, MS but it's coming. Thought these nocturnal bastards would move before it hits. I'm having to Google "pictures of deer" to remind myself what I'm after.

I need to do a clean sweep around my stands for all the empty cans. Like money in the bank there are so many.

Cooler
Sitting on the low fenced property trying to get the gf on a buck
Temp had dropped 30+ degrees from this morning so the deer should be moving

Dropped a nice 8 pt with a 21in inside spread this morn (Liberty, Ms). Had him on camera once last year but not at all this year. Figured he didn't make it through. Second biggest buck I've ever killed. Super pumped!

Other than the wife part you could have been one of my boys posting. We've had the collective skunk hung on us. Worst hunting we've ever had out here and we've had some lean ones. I think my cousin shot the only deer on the thousand acres

Damn it boy! I'm fired up because I killed one yesterday with a 14" inside spread here in MS.

Dandy

Is he young? His face looks young. Short snout, lack of dark or gray hair.

Just asking. No offense. I wouldve shot him for sure.

Thanks! Like I said, I'm super pumped...gonna put this one on the wall. I hardly ever get to hunt since our property is on MS and I live in Houston. I'm planning on hunting through Wed but my wife thinks I need to come home now since I got one. Pressure Is off so now Im gonna sit around the camp and relax...make a few more hunts and hit the crown!

That does not mean young deer.

It's called a roman nose.
