Incentive for LSU football to win NC

Just curious what you thought the #1 incentive is going forward for LSU to win a NC in football? Is the incentive for doing so any different than going 8-5? Program was just valued #5 in the country. AD that stated winning championships is not what its about but being in the hunt for them is. The majority of the fanbase is pleased with 8-10 wins. With coaching salaries and facility improvements we are still no closer to BAMA and are arguably losing ground. And that appears to be ok with a surpising number of fans and the AD. So what is the #1 incentive?

Probably the dumbest thing I've ever read. Congrats

Dont forget that postseason revenue is shared by all conference teams so its not ax if there's a $ incentive other th a the increased merch sales.

Nothing at all. Players like losing games too. You know since they get such a big slice of all that money.

Winning the NC is #1 on every player's agenda. Now for the power that be, Idk.
I have no faith in Les, I have no faith in Alleva. If this was 15+ years ago, sure 7-10 wins a year consistently would be considered a success sure. But this isn't 15+ years ago, this is 2014 almost 2015 and Bama is getting better while we are getting worse.
If winning a NC isn't #1 on the head coach's and AD'S agenda then they don't need to be here and I don't want them here. I want to win...and I want to win now. Being "in the hunt" won't cut it anymore.

There are other incentives beside just monetary gain. Rings, recognition, pride, trophies, national exposure, aid in recruiting, etc.
If you really think Miles is content with 8-9 win seasons and is not driven to win championships, then please send me the recipe to your Koolaid.

Did not say that. What do you think the # 1 incentive is?

Not saying that Les doesn't want to win championships. I just don't know if it's #1 to him. He's more like Alleva, whereas he's content with just being in the hunt rather than being there in the big game in the end.
And if winning championships isn't the first thing on your list then you need to get on board or get out of the way.

Pride. Excellence. Being the best. Btw, 8 win seasons will not keep is at #5. We are this high because we are champion caliber.

#1? Probably pride in being called the best.
As you stated, from a monetary standpoint, not much is gained.

They have absolutely no incentive. LSU's players and coaches like losing games.

If we have to convince you that players and coaches want W's more than you do then there is nothing to say really.

No, because your thread is ridiculous.
