Do you consider who was killed invading a home with intent to rob a "good kid"?

This football player who played at Howard and also played football around here at a local high school keeps invaded an apartment armed with intent to rob and was killed in the process.
Yet ESPN and the local media/newspapers around here have done nothing but call him a "good kid". What kind of good kid does these things?

Tired of the excuse making and SJW bullshite. Even the school district where this guy went to school(which consists of mainly suburban middle class whites) held a vigil and prayer session for this guy. WTF?

It's still a tragedy. He probably was a good kid who got off the tracks. Robbing doesn't make you evil. It's bad and can lead to awful yet reasonable consequences, but that doesn't mean he was always a bad person. People don't kill intruders bc the intruders deserve to die. They kill to protect themselves, which is perfectly fine under those circumstances.

Maybe he was a good kid in HS and that is how they remember him? I don't have a problem with it, at all. Let people grieve however they want to as long as they aren't hurting anyone.

Did you even read the article you posted?

You don't know the meaning of tragedy if you consider this a tragedy.
A thieving tPOS killed. Seems like a good thing to me.

quote:I disagree, a robber winning a stupid prize isn't a tragedy. its good ole fashion justice that doesn't cost very much. Robbing makes you a worthless piece of shite so whatever bad happens to one is never a tragedy.
It's still a tragedy.

People are complicated creatures. None inherently good or inherently evil.
You shouldn't let this bother you.

I don't give much sympathy to thieves.
I've had stuff stolen that I worked hard to pay for. And Someone tried to steal my car about ten years ago in Shreveport when I was visiting family.
A neighbor walked outside and stopped then, but they did almost $1k worths damage to my door. If you are a thief, you are one low down piece of shite. And if you are armed when you do it, then you are scum of the fricking earth. Good kid? frick you.

I would have shot him and this sort of BS shouldn't make the news.

Complicated, probably good in high school, just went down the wrong path.............ok I get it. We don't know what happened to this poor "good kid". Just think of your Mother getting up in the middle of the night and this piece of shite standing in the hallway. We are accountable for our actions and he was held accountable for his........ Sorry.

"Robbing does not make you evil"
frick that! He got what he deserved. Don't commit a crime and you do not have to worry about the consequences.

ESPN didn't call him a good kid.
And the person who called him a good kid as referring to his behavior pre crime, which is certainly possible.
Looking for some insight into motivation is helpful to perhaps stop some of this crime from happening.
