Taking a 3-day road trip next weekend to hit up some of my favorite spots. Here's my list:

Vine's -- Centreville
Mammy's Cupboard -- Natchez
Carriage House -- Natchez
Old Country Store -- Lorman
Roux 61 -- Natchez
Cotton Alley Cafe -- Natchez
Porches -- Wesson

I'll probably hit up most of them, but not all. Any other "can't-miss" places that perhaps I've overlooked? Lorman is the farthest north we plan on traveling on 61, then headed east and spending the night in Brookhaven.

Skip Mammie's and get tamales and a burger at the doughnut shown Natchez. Trust me.

Natchez is South Mississippi?

Really?

Thought it was the southern part of the Delta. I always think of South Mississippi as the part of the state from Hattiesburg south to the coast.

The Carriage House in Natchez has some pretty good fried chicken and fixings as well.
