Tell me about the Visa process. How long does it usually take to get?

As far as visas go, it is really really easy from what my Brazil goers have told me. Like you just give them the 200 bucks and your in. I got an eu work visa and that was a fricking nightmare.

It's been about ten years but if I remember you get a visa service in DC to take it to the embassy and get the stamp. Took about two weeks to fedex passport and return it. Wasn't that expensive about 75 back then

T'was a pain in the arse, but I got mine right before the World Cup so it was a little more difficult.

Unless you go directly to an embassy (Houston, DC, LA, etc) you have to pay a Visa company additional $$$ plus what the Visa costs. It's probably not as bad now that the World Cup is over.

It's easy. Once you there, a Brazilian steals your Visa and everything else in yout wallet as well.

I don't know how it is now - worked in Santa Fe, Argentina 1996 - 2001 - we used our regular American Passports to go across the border - no problem back then - probably changed a lot since then -

I went to São Paulo last month. Visa took about 2 weeks. I used a visa service (G3 visas) since work was paying for it. It was around $400 but it's good for 10 years.

Depends on the type of visa.

A Vitem V is a pain in the arse. If you only need a business visa and not going offshore it isn't that bad.
