How Long Does Harbaugh Stay at Michigan?

Michigan Fans,
Let's assume Harbaugh takes the job. Do you envision him being a lifer? I can't help but think that even if he takes this job, he will want to get back to the NFL at some point. With his competitive drive, I think there will always be unfinished business, especially getting to the Super Bowl and not only losing, but losing to his brother. Thoughts?

How old is he?

2 to 3 years, the guy was too successful at the NFL level.

I said this in another thread, but being an alumnus likely keeps him there five or so years. But unlike Saban, who is the inevitable comparison, he's still young and has more than a decade of coaching left. I could see a return to the NFL given the right circumstances and being able to leave Michigan in great shape.

If he comes to Michigan, he will retire in Michigan.
But this is not like the coaching search. You need 15, 20 years to prove Michigan's fans are correct. So no more arguments from me about this topic. who knows 20 years later if this board still exist or not.
Believe it or not, JH father is the force behind his decision to go back to Michigan. Told him if you accept it, you need to stay there until you are done.
I think his dad believes he is better wired as a college ball coach than a NFL guy.

Either 5 years (long enough to get the Michigan house in order and pass the torch to another coach while going back to the NFL) or for life.

1 month, until the Falcons announce him as their new HC.
