Level homes are just a step above DR Horton, IMO. Get you a nice set of house plans from Acadiana Homes and hook up with a legit builder, not mass production guys like Level and DR.
You would be correct with your opinion.
Op, go this route of getting plans independent of contractor and hiring someone to build. You will be better off in the long run with a much better quality home.

they are not owned by coastal bridge. The owner of coastal bridge was a former development partner of one of the owners of level. coastal bridge does build some of the infrastructure in the neighborhoods level develops from raw land.

DR Horton, DSLD, Level Construction, and a few others use Latino crews. Nothing wrong with this if the site manager actually is on the job controlling quality. Sometimes these builders have inexperienced people on some jobs while having good project managers on other jobs. This means the quality can vary.
I actually seen some decent homes built by level construction while others were poorly built. It comes down to who is managing their jobs.
A trick that some tract home builders use is to get a good finish carpenter/cabinet maker to hide the framing flaws. A good project manager can see through this.

The biggest investment in your life should not be something to pinch pennies on.
Get a set of custom plans and hire a builder. You will be much happier and have a better experience and investment in the long run.
Isn't level partly owned by the Enquist family?

Some people can't afford to go see so-and-so for custom plans to bring to a local builder. Yes the quality would most likely be better, but it could be a difference of $100K for the same square footage. For some that's out of the question. Let's be realistic here.

Poors' statement.
You better have a bigger investment before you retire, sport.
Otherwise you have dog food and death boards in your future.
