Updated Mock Draft from NFLdraftscout.com - Saints at #10

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
2. Tennessee Titans - Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska
4. New York Jets - Shane Ray, DE/OLB, Missouri
5. Oakland Raiders - Leonard Williams, DT, Southern Cal
6. Washington Redskins -- Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa
7. Chicago Bears - Landon Collins, S, Alabama
8. Atlanta Falcons - Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson
9. Minnesota Vikings - Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
10. New Orleans Saints - Dante Fowler, DE/OLB, Florida: With Junior Galette (nine sacks) and Cameron Jordan (six) recording nearly half of New Orleans' 31 sacks through 15 regular season games, the Saints are among the more predictable defenses in the league. That's counter to defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's philosophies. Fowler's versatility is his calling card. The 6-3, 260 pounder's unique combination of power, agility and tenacity earns him time at defensive end, linebacker and defensive tackle for the Gators.
I guess I'll say I'm not happy about being at #10, because it looks like yet again we will be right on the outside of getting a true difference maker and instead will have to get the 3rd best DE/OLB option, which sucks. However, players always fall and someone will get taken in the top 10 that has no business going that high.
My dream players that fall to #10:
1. Shane Ray
2. Amari Cooper
3. Brandon Scherff
4. Leonard Williams

If Cooper is there when we pick, we HAVE to pick him.

If the guys that are can't miss aren't there at 10, I'd like to see a trade back for another high pick if possible. There are a lot of OL in this class and we have a lot of needs IMO.
Sadly, I don't ever see us trading back in the high 1st.

I think Fowlers game translates better to the NFL than Shane Ray's. He's more versatile and stronger at the point of attack. Ray is a one trick pony.

despite our last USC DT, my dream pick right now is Williams, so lets say Mariota, Winston, Cooper, Gregory, Ray, and Beasley go in the top 9, which is very likely. we only need 3 teams to do something different from this mock to get him (or Gregory, Ray, Beasley, or Cooper).

I really like the Dante Fowler pick. His athletic ceiling is lower than Randy Gregory and Shane Ray, but his all-around production and skill is higher than theirs.

How about trading down our pick for 2 first round guys?
Possibly a OL and OLB/DT/DE

I would also go after Sammie Coates in the mid rounds if Cooper wasn't available. He was a beast when healthy this year at Auburn!

Something doesn't pan out with these picks.
A) If TB wins vs. NO in Week 17, they won't get the #1 pick. Also, if NO wins, they can't get the #10 pick. This #1 and #10 pick don't make sense.
B) They have ATL at #10, therefore meaning that CAR beats ATL in Week 17. However, if that happens, we should be picking BEHIND NO.
I don't see how they had wins and losses for these draft positions to even be possible.
