I somehow missed the fact that Fat Heads opened up a brewery here in Portland. Will have to check it out, soon. I'm excited.

FBD - Fat Head's Trail Head pale ale at The Beermongers.

Good work starting the thread from the West Coast. I am still at work. I got a box from Portland today and I might sample the contents for FBD later.

The Fatheads in Pittsburgh is one of my favorite places on the planet. That place reeks of awesomeness. I wish they'd open one in New Orleans.

Gotta admit that I haven't been to it, yet, but was at The Beermongers (a pretty awesome place in it's own right) and ordered their beer and asked if it was being distribute regularly to Portland. He replied, "Well, yes, you dumbass. They opened a brewery here.". I had no comebacj, whatsoever...

NBD - Sticky Hands Hoppy Holidays with juniper berries and spruce tips. Different from the regular SH. May need more research, but not as good as the regular...

My mistake -- the Fatheads I'm referring to is something totally different, but equally awesome, I assure you.

I don't think it is. The brewery that brews Head Hunter IPA? Same people. They have a brewery in Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

They have a brewpub here, but I see there beers at taprooms around town...

Buddy of mine is the Ops Mgr for the restaurant holding group that has the rights out there. In fact, his daughter, is running the one Portland. Good family, solid people. Visit often and enjoy. Some damn good sammich's and brew at that bad boy.

Good to know. I was looking at their menu and it looks great. Looks like they've incorporated a lot of local ingredients into their menu, which is good. Oregon grows some good shite...

I recommend looking at the link I provided above, as one of the burgers is named after one of our more prominent posters.
