here is what happened. The two girls went by his house when he was working in the yard with his family. They asked where they could find a certain type of flower, and then the girls left. He did not leave with them. He was not 'with the girls.' Later, when the girls went missing, he was part of the giant search party who went with them. You believe that a confession obtained from a 14 year old who had no access to his family or a lawyer while being grilled by a bunch of hillbilly detectives all day is valid? I have some land in Cameron parish to sell you.

The only evidence linking him to the girls' death was that he was seen talkign to them earlier that day in front of his house. That, and the evidence you have conjured up in your mind. Oh, and the murder weapon ? A 20 lb railroad spike he wasn't even capable of wielding.

I honestly don't care about it that much beyond the whie guilt angle mentioned above.
