quote:

“Breathe easy, don’t break the law” in response to the Notre Dame protest. The South Bend Tribune reports three Common Council members want Barthel to stop selling those shirts, saying they send a “divisive message.

Seriously?

Is it divisive because it's in response to the shirts worn by the basketball team or is it divisive because it is being portrayed as racist?

It's divisive bc the cop is basically saying "you get what's coming to you if you disobey insignificant laws"

fricking dumbass cop, but I wouldn't expect much more out of that group.

And "I Can't Breathe" doesn't send a "divisive message?"

"don't break the law"

Do they also make shirts that say, "Don't go shopping at Wal mart?" LINK

And shirts that say, "Don't have your car stolen and sleep in the privacy of your own home?" LINK

The cops should be allowed to sell the shirts if they want. I do think its very stupid from a PR stand point to sell the shirts. Only trashy individuals would buy one anyways. Those wearing I cant breathe shirts, breathe easy shirts and Baton fricking Rouge shirts are all the same type of mouth breathers.

Are people, on both sides of this argument, that desperate to be part of a "movement"?

I would love to debate 90% of those clowns who are wearing that bullshite tshirt. Most have no clue. Hell, most black people don't even know who Garner even is.

The cop should tell the council people to frick off. What's good for one side is good for the other.

A more appropriate shirt would have been "Gun out! Don't charge!"

Don't troll police and they won't create a situation.

All of this foolishness is "fighting for the right to troll police and run their mouth to police without fear for lawful retaliation". Nothing more and nothing less.

In both cases all the 'victim' had to do was comply and acknowledge rather than telling the police what they weren't going to do and what they were sick of. Doesn't matter if you agree with the law or not. Shut up and comply like everyone else.

Hopefully everyone of these idiots wearing "I can't breathe" shirts will all fail miserably at the choking game
