Would make him the highest paid football head coach in the country at over $8 million.

Expected. They're not gonna play around and offer to bring him in cheaper than the top coaches.

how much does saban make 5 something and he's the highest paid right? that's a huge leap.

Saban is at $7.3 but he's pretty much alone up there in the college ranks.
This would put Harbaugh ahead of even the NFL.

There can't be any bigger home run hire than that. I'll take Harbaugh over Saban any day.

I'll believe it when I see it. Remember the numbers being thrown out during the Texas search last year? None of those materialized. They were rumored to offer Saban $100 million over 10 years

Why is a Notre Dame 247 site breaking news on this? That alone should tell you something about its legitimacy.

That's crazy and I think if true, no way does he turn them down. Not even for Los Angeles.

They didn't. The OP linked a report that linked a report.

Yeah, but you're a Tennessee fan, so you'll get neither and be stuck with average to slightly above average coaches for the foreseeable future. Good luck finishing the year with a winning record for the first time since Bama's OC was your Head Coach.

wow- i was way off, i guess i hadn't been paying attention.

That's a lot of money for a coach. If he turns UM down they will offer the next candidate less than half of what they offered Harbaugh.

If Miles was ever really in consideration and he's the number 2 (hypothetical of course), he should be frothing at the mouth over that kind of offer.
