Adrian Wojnarowski has a "jihad" against ESPN

Despite Wojnarowski’s past at ESPN—or perhaps because of it—his relationship with the network borders upon hatred as closely as anything in the sports media world. “I’ve had agents and executives tell me Woj has a jihad against ESPN,” said Bleacher Report’s (and formerly ESPN’s) Ric Bucher. “He has a mission to take ESPN down.” Bucher wasn’t the only person to use the word “jihad” to describe how Wojnarowski approaches competition with ESPN. Wojnarowski seizes every opportunity to take shots at ESPN, often referring to it as “that cheerleading network” or “a sports cable network” in his columns.

There does seem to be real animosity between Wojnarowski and ESPN’s reporters. During the 2011 NBA Finals, the entire basketball media was in Dallas to report on it. After one of the games Hollinger was driving out of the parking lot in his rental car. As he got close to Wojnarowski, Spears, and Yahoo Sports NBA editor Johnny Ludden, Hollinger rolled down his window and joked, “Oh man, I could’ve taken out the whole Yahoo operation!” As he began to drive away, Wojnarowski yelled after him, “And we’d still kick your arse from the grave!” (When asked to comment, Hollinger said tersely, “I don’t remember that” and hung up on me.) More recently an ESPN writer tweaked Wojnarowski over his refusal to use ESPN’s name, and Wojnarowski responded: “You have 75 guys there. You really should break every story. I'd be more worried about that than me.”

Honestly didn't know who he was until I just looked him up. Irrelevant.

Really he's just one of the top "tweeters" for NBA information. Lots of garbage on twitter, but his tweets have a lot of truth in them with good sources. You can bet if any NBA information comes out he plays a hand in it.

I would love to know how Woj does it. Dude is always first to break NBA stories.
How does he get people like Joe Dumars, who got fined 500k for giving secrets to Woj, to risk everything to tell him insider info?
Its pretty amazing.
Jeff Bower used to feed him info when he was with the NOHornets. Woj was PISSED when he was canned.

Are you joking? He's the #1 NBA Insider reporter there is. It isn't even a question.
Other guys say they have insider sources...he actually does.

This one was especially impressive from the story....
quote:
“I signed a player, and my staff didn’t know that we got the guy yet, and I heard the cheering outside the office because they had seen Woj tweet it,” one team executive said. “I was still on the phone with the agent, negotiating areas of the exhibit, and Woj already had it.”

Lord Varys was based on Woj

Like I said, it is already a FACT that Joe Dumars was feeding him info. Dumars was busted in an NBA sting and fined 500k, one of the largest fines ever.
It is well known that Jeff Bower was feeding him info as well.
Both NBA GMs with long histories in the league.
It has long been speculated that Woj has signficant contacts in the NBA Home office that allow him to see all proposed transactions (since they all must be approved by the NBA before being released).

Not as "spidery" . Also I think he's got something in between his legs.

Pretty much the most reliable source for breaking NBA news...

As great as he is at breaking stories, his opinion pieces do tend to be him just grinding an axe against someone. He can come across like a real bitch in those.
