That must be why they were caught shipping aircraft parts to N. Korea, a nation that is under embargo.
The Cubans have also been talking about re-opening a site the USSR used to use to eavesdrop on the US.
Most of you guys sound pretty young. So, that might explain things.
The US got absolutely nothing out of this. Do you think the Cubans are going to stop letting Russia, Venezuela, Ecuador or Iran from using its location to cause problems for us?
ETA>>>> We also released men who were directly responsible for the deaths of American citizens.
These Cuban spies fed info to their bosses in Havana about when these Americans would be flying over international waters looking for Cubans refugees on rafts. Those Americans were shot down over international waters.
Obama let them go.
The Russians are on the ropes because of the drop in the price of oil, and Obama gives the Cubans everything they want.
The Cubans will control info access just as the Chinese do. They will continue to crush political dissent, and they will continue to cause problems for us.

That's my one problem with this. If we'd gotten something--anything--in return, I'd be all for it.

Yep. It's another Bergdahl-type swap. We gave away more than we got. Only difference is we got a traitor last time.

Only one of those countries scare me (the obvious one), and the others who gives a shite about. Venezuela is merely Cloud Cuckooland. Iran is ridiculously overrated and really one of the more progressive countries in the ME. They really don't give that much of a frick about us compared to several other countries in that area, most of which I'd say are bigger threats to the free world than Iran is. All we did is eliminate their big rival in Iraq. And Ecuador....

Oh yeah, because continuing war with China was obviously the way to go. frick our international relations with them! They've fricked us over a few times! Let's nuke Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong! That will show them! How dare we bring Cuba into the modern world and forge an alliance that will make both countries stronger as a whole!

Besides, the Cuban groups in Florida, as well as the US Government were actively involved in assassination attempts, terrorist attacks, and general efforts to overthrow the Cuban government.

Oh what the frick are you even talking about
Let me dumb it down a shade: both of the Castros will most likely be dead within 5 years. We will be Walmarting the frick out of that island within a decade.
I thought conservatives at least understood the common good of market access
