My wife quit drinking by choice over 20 years ago. She does not mess with me about my drinking as long as I don't get stupid drunk or drive under the influence.

a little social drinking on the part of one or the other is fine...however, if one gets sloppy drunk and the other has to babysit, that ends with quickness...

This thread did not deliver.

I love my beer and drink when I want... My wife is not much of a drinker...All is fine...

The key is that I drink at home and am not causing trouble...

Shes cool with it...

I drink, the Canadian really doesn't. I don't get wasted, but at least I always have a dd.

I wouldn't care if she chose not to drink but I don't see myself giving it up anytime soon. As long as she's not sitting in the corner of every social event we were at, no shits given

I would feel weird drinking if my SO was sober. Wouldn't bother me if I was sober and my SO drank.

Alcohol is pretty fricking gross for me....I hate regular wine, most beers, whiskey, gin etc.. The only thing I can stand to drink is dessert wine, really sweet cocktail and some higher vodka.
Haven't been in many serious relationships but I will probably be in one where the drinking part is one sided...if she can't deal with that...frick her.

For someone who claims he didn't like alcohol...bullshite.

I take a two week break and my tolerance is way down.
