How many players during the miles era do you feel were coached up enough to play in the NFL that would not have had the pure talent to play without his guidance ?

It was simply a topic for discussion. I have my opinion, just wondering how others feel.

Are you asking, in other words, which players that played at LSU, under the Les Miles coaching staff, would have been able to play in the NFL straight out of high school, and received no tangible benefit from the coaching received by Les Miles and his staff?

So no development at all in college? These players all came through a college program but it was unnecessary because they could have just gone straight to the pros?

Somehow I know you don't really believe that.

I see what you're getting at. And it's retarded. Kids don't come out of HS NFL ready. Kids don't go to ULL, ULM and get coached up the way they do at LSU. The players themselves give credit to the staff. Does Miles personally develop them? No, probably not. But that's because it doesn't work like that. They have position coaches who are more hands on, and have S&C programs that develop them physically. LSU has some of the best at both.

I agree with you on a LOT of points about Miles, but this comment and entire premise of this thread is just dumb. I mean, it really is.

Yea, it tells me you have no idea how a football team operates.

I have a little insight for you a-hole. I am an old man, and have watched more LSU games in my life than you may ever be blessed enough to match. You must think you are the only one who has heard of coordinators or position coaches . And of course co-coordinators. I can also tell you I gave up my season tickets 6 years ago due to Good Ole Les. And you understand my question, and could give an honest if you chose. Just keep pumping because next year you will need to convince a lot of others besides me of your insider knowledge and the product miles puts on the field.

All of them. Take a look at this year, for example. Raw talent WRs don't just step into the league and have immediate success. Most take a year or few to work on those skills.
