I miss everything about the Dude.

The fact that he is gone and Mark David Chapman is still here is a travesty.

Is that why Houser had to sit down while playing? He had no spine?

Stop trying to make this another WSP thread. Nobody cares.

C'mon guys, play nice...I want Blind Boy count to feel welcomed on the music board. Can we talk about John Lennon in peace?

Wish he was here, but dislike everything he has done, and that's not even bringing up Yoko.

sorry about all these guys trying to be funny and troll. i wish they'd go back to the OT so we can actually talk about music for once.
back on topic, it's a shame lennon died without seeing how famous he'd become. it's probably a good thing, though. i think it would have changed him.
by the way, great thread.

Back to your music comment, both Plastic Ono Band and Imagine are very, very strong albums.

The guy was a disgusting human being. A complete and utter fraud. He psychically abused women, was a pathological liar, and a terrible father.
Lennon admitted in a Playboy interview that when he was younger, he basically went around punching women: "I was a hitter. I couldn't express myself and I hit. I fought men and I hit women."
People gave Ono a lot of shite for following Lennon to band practices (a taboo in the music world known as "being a Yoko Ono"), but Ono only did that because Lennon demanded that she come out of fear she would leave him. He even made her go into the bathroom with him, afraid someone would snatch her away while she waited in the lobby. At the same time, he was openly unfaithful to her, just as he was to his first wife.
In the end, though, the biggest target of Lennon's cruelty was his son Julian. Lennon was absent for most of Julian's life, and the time he spent with him often led to yelling, insults, and very uncomfortable situations.
He was such a great guy.

Don´t know about all that, but I´m sure that, and much more, is true.
Those two albums are great, however.

Give the man his respect. Not sure how true all that is. You think any Beatle was faithful?
