Got a full crowd of nieces and nephews today, so I have a feeling I'll be cleaning something in the dark tonight.

Back in the same place as this morning, wind has died. Hope to catch a buck slipping at dark, or at least the mangled looking spike I've been seeing on cam.

Why didn't you push it on with the cart? Or would that have been embarrising

when you're by yourself and have to get something done, that ain't a time for pride or embarrassment , I tried to pull it up with cart,,, it wouldn't even budge it when tires got to the ramp.
I unhooked jeep from trailer, took spare off trailer, chocked the wheels, found 2 hook straps, 1 rubber band jerker and a couple of pieces of rope in jeep, tied it all together and pulled that big, heavy sob up with jeep, stopping about 50 times to adjust steering wheel.

I felt like an old one armed, one legged old man trying to be a whole pit crew.

I had to stop a few times, cipher on a few things and think smart to do all that without killing myself.

Had a doe and yearling feeding about 20 yards in front of me for about 10 minutes right before, and after dark. Wasn't much, but still a rush for me considering I've sat in a stand/blind 4 or 5 times in the last 20-25 years...and they've all been in the last two weeks.

I think I'll at least be able to get a shot at something out of there before the end of the season.
