Rock is alive and well. The Riff Rock/ Metal/ Post 90s thread

The death of Rock thread and the general sentiments of some people on this board got me thinking.
It might be a good idea to have a collection of new and recent rock or metal music and bands. Hopefully we can keep this going.
This is a statement I'm sure will go unheeded, but: Let's stay away from bashing the genre or the music posted. Just discuss and add your own.
Here's a short list to start the thread off:
The Sword:
Maiden, Mother & Crone
How heavy this axe
Orange Goblin:
A Eulogy For The Damned
Acid Trial
Royal Blood - Figure It Out

I'm glad you added them in. I figured someone would add QOTSA quickly, so i didn't put them in the OP.

love them or hate them, but the black keys have done well at bringing guitar riffs to mainstream rock

Just googled the top rock songs of 2003:
1. Trapt- headstrong
2. Linkin park- numb
3. Linkin park- faint
4. Saliva- always
5. Jet- are you gonna be my girl
Tomahawk's album, "mit gas" came out in 2003. Brilliant album. Just proves that no matter what the year is, you just have to dig a little deeper to find the good stuff.
tomahawk- rape this day
tomahawk- mayday

This one starts with a good solo, catchy lyrics, and otherwise good riffs
QOTSA-I sat by the ocean
Just got into this band. More I listen more I like. Straight up rock and roll!
