No. They are just uptight about the word "bomb". Nothing more than this.
While this particular lady doesn't swear, one of her other colleagues uses "damns" and "hells" all the time (with an occasional f-bomb thrown in). She doesn't mind.
Someone told me afterwards that I should have told them that their request was "shot down" by the security team. That would really have made her bonkers...

Apparently "bombed" has a specific meaning in IT. Perhaps you should have informed her of that and stuck to your guns.

I know a guy who was fired from his job of 30 years and charged with a felony when he used the phrase "This is the kinda shite that makes you wanna get your gun!" with the wrong guy.
