Q+A: Tyrann Mathieu

I’m definitely the best basketball player, I would say, in the NFL. I don’t think anybody could check me, and I could check everybody. I’m just going to outhustle them and get hustle points.

I highly doubt one of the shortest players is one of the best basketball players.

Bruce Ellington was decent at South Carolina for a small guy.
Then you have big guys like Julius Thomas, A.Gates, Vincent Jackson, and Jordan Cameron.

I don't know if he'd be able to check Calvin Johnson or an AJ Green type on a fast break.

AJ Green can ball. Won state champ in high school

Exactly.
That's why Manute Bol is the best to ever play and Allen Iverson was one of the worst in his day.
Because size dictates how good you are.

Graham had more fouls than points in his college career iirc. He obv wasn't much of a basketball player.

I appreciate swag, but the guy who gets hustle points is never the best basketball player.
Not to mention he's short as hell.

He had significant minutes in the ACC. He wasn't a great ACC player by any means, but he still played at the highest level of CBB.

Played against him in the Rec a few times, decent player but nothing great. Probably had more arguments and almost fights than points.

without ever seeing him play football, the Patriots offered jimmy Graham a bonus if he were to try-out for the Patriots
this was done totally by having watched him play basketball..... TM wants no part of that

Easily More fouls than field goals... So not more fouls than points but still pretty pitiful.
basically he sucked, would you say that John Odo would be the best basketball player if he was in the NFL? No you wouldnt now GTFO homer.

As a basketball player at UM, Graham was seen as too physical. During his four-year career, Graham’s personal fouls (286) easily exceeded his field goals made (202).
