Wilson’s a great recruiter and would represent LSU well
Frank Wilson would be another "Larry Porter at Memphis" at LSU. Has never been a Head Coach (Except in High School) or Offensive Coordinator at the college level. Yeah boy, he's going to be the head coach at LSU.

Frank does not merit this. He has never been a head coach or coordinator on the college level. He is a class act and does a great job at LSU. Personally I think he would be crazy to give up a job where he has security and is making about 700,000 a year. LSU will keep Frank regardless of who the head coach is at the time.

I don't Frank is ready for the job here, but I wouldn't put him in the Larry Porter category

Frank has proven a great recruiter and good position coach. There's a whole lot more to the HC job. I'm sure he'd be a candidate but not on top of the list.

People around the program know that Frank Wilson has a lot to do with LSU's success. If Les is the CEO, Frank is the COO. I'm not saying that he gets the job if Les leaves, but LSU would be crazy not to give him a fair shake. He is going to be a great head coach some day. I'd love to see him as LSU's coach eventually.

Les Miles has one title that he backdoored into.

any team with 1 loss backfired into a championship.

But Les played 8 ranked teams that year, 5 still ranked in the last polls

FSU played 5, and only 3 were ranked int he last polls (one of them was a 4 loss duke that kinda sucked)
