Do the names out there for Florida and Michigan concern the Miles haters?

I've been a pretty strong supporter of Miles and I don't want him to leave especially considering the options out there...

I was wondering if the gamble of hiring some of these mid-level developing coaches that are being thrown out as candidates make the Miles haters nervous about getting rid of our coach? The percentage that fail or do worse than CLM is very high.
It scares the hell out of me...I would hate to end up like Florida or TN, TX, Mich...

I agree, if Miles left who would we get to replace him? I am not particularly impressed with the candidates floating around for the open positions.

no, not at all.

even the supposed 'homerun' hire will be a crapshoot.

if miles leaves, then i'm sure TAF will do its due diligence with finding a worthy replacement.

But, downplaying the options out there is not the right thing to do in this case.

Keep in mind that Miles was anything but a homerun hire when he got the LSU job, and he's done a great job here. The next guy, whenever that may be, has the tools and resources available to do the same.

Well it's gonna happen sooner of later so don't be scared . LSU will attract a lot of prime candidates and we still in the fertile crescent when it's comes to recruiting.

Not if Cam(@HC), John(@DC) and Frank(@OC) stay. It would be a welcome situation in my eyes.

Chip Kelly and the Harbaughs will always give them hope.

The commonality that Les and Saban have, and the biggest factor in their success at LSU, and the sustained success here, is that Saban convinced the top players in Louisiana to stop going out of state, and attend LSU. For the most part, and to his credit, Miles has continued that.

If Les leaves, LSU Football will be fine, as long as we hire a coach with half a brain who can continue bringing the top in-state players to Baton Rouge. Les proves that you don't have to be a spectacular x's and o's guy, a quarterback guru, or anything special as a game day coach to win here.

yes they do. If I thought LSU could make a proven hire, I wouldn't mind Les leaving. I'm NOT convinced that'll happen.
