re: I've lost hope that Brandon Harris will be our starting QB next year.

i'm sure you will call it lack of coaching. but you don't know for sure do you? you are just throwing shite up on the wall and hope it sticks.
not every athlete is the same. I could care less how some OSU qb is doing and to compare their situation with ours is 100% pure speculation. that means you have NO FACTS. so perhaps you are a bamboozler.

this isn't a court of law. les miles is LSU's HC and he and his staff will determine which QB starts and they are not going to go to the press and fanbase and name a starter. miles lack of open communication with the fans is frustrating but he has played it close to the vest for TEN STRAIGHT YEARS. you'd think one would know this by now.
BBI posted an article where Ponamsky interviewed his "best source" on the staff (not players, staff) and we all know he is tight with Frank Wilson.
This anonymous source trashed Brandon Harris for his inability to grasp simple concepts, play the position the way LSU wants it to be played, and for also not understanding the playbook or putting in extra effort.
Miles may not attach his name to it but he's not beyond trashing players anonymously to folks in the press in order to get his message across to the fans.
He definitely lost some respect when he did that to Harris (or allowed it to happen to Harris in the press anyway) anonymously...

CptDerp is too scared. Water is wet.
its simple....if he says yes then it may seem that he was happy that a Les Miles coached football team won....and we can't have that.
it he says no then its proof that he would rather Miles lose than LSU win and out himself as the giant douchebag that he is.
we all know what the answer is...i just want him to admit it.

However, I don't see a smidgen of evidence pointing to Miles committing to BH as next year's starting QB.
It would make no sense for Miles to commit to Harris at this point. Whatever Harris was missing this year that prevented him from playing still is missing. If/when that changes, that's when it would make sense to hear Miles commit to Harris.

Are you capable of staying on topic?
If you'd like to discuss the aTm game, start a thread. I'll be happy to post in it and share my thoughts as well.

Common sense is definitely not allowed here.

Trashing your own players in that way is really pathetic imho.

wait...so Miles lost respect because he "allowed" a supposed anonymous person to "trash" a player to Ponamsky?
seems reasonable

How can a school like OSU have Barrett step in and contribute immediately (irrespective of the opposition they have played) and yet we get a top notch QB and he cant even contribute (or get a chance to contribute). Shall we call it lack of coaching?
Are you aware that Barrett redshirted last year?

but i'd say accuracy and ability to read defenses are ahead of all those....and neither have shown to be talented in those areas thus far
Okay I'll give you that but getting better at reading defenses is best achieved by getting game time experience. Miles hasn't given BH that opportunity since Auburn.

what does that have to do with Brandon Harris? nice deflection..
It's not defelction. I think one of the main poins I've driven at when talking to others re: the QB situation is the absolute failure to develop, and whether that's on the staff or the players. If JJv2.0 has tried his damndest-and all indications are that he has put in time and effort in a manner that's made this staff proud of him-and can't develop to a point where we can operate the offense the way we obviously want it run, at what point do you make changes?
Whether its with reads, routes, protection (rolling the pocket, run-pass options), or other tweaks to ensure the offense continues to be productive?
To distill it down and reduce it to as finea point as I can, at what point does it stop being on the palyer and start being on the coaches for a failure to develop.
I don't have the answer to that question. I do think its a great one, though. One worth discussing.

and now the excuse will be he doesn't have any experience so he wont play next year either.
It's really depressing to waste that talent.

he is a fricking freshman
please stop with this nonsense. Freshman play all the time, and Harris was an early enrollee who has been in the system since spring.
The "he's a freshman" excuse has worn very thin.
