The only way this bastardized offense is going to work is with a Matt Mauck/Matt Flynn type QB.

Both those guys had a more wide-open offense and Matt Mauck played over a decade ago.

Here's a stat from a Rabalais article a little while back. I wouldn't care if LSU ran the ball as much as they do as long as they have the ability to pass the ball if they need. It's stupid to me if they run the ball ad nauseous even if they're up by 30, and then when they need to pass the ball its like an infant trying to walk for the first time, and then Les wonders why it doesn't work.

He needs to stop wasting opportunities. Every coach under the sun throws guys out there to just learn (Baptism by fire) on the go. I think had Jennings been let go to just learn the hard way earlier in the season, then he wouldn't be as bad at this point. Les has failed at using in-game opportunities in prior seasons to develop QB weaknesses, and its no wonder why our QB's never have any confidence.

Of the top 10 teams in this week’s CFP standings, eight of them throw more than 41 percent of the time. The exceptions are No. 8 Ohio State (36.4 percent) and No. 9 Auburn (33.2 percent).

I definitely think Harris can be a QB of that quality.
Maybe just not this year.
