the fricked up thing is that his disingenuous self-promtoting has worked (I'm 12 minutes into it) and it's way better than anything you'd hear on Sportstalk.
James, I need to point out to you that Sean Payton hasn't been a "brilliant" coach since at least the 2011 season. He's been downright awful this year. We should be like 7-3 or 8-2 if this team was motivated and executing well (Packers game, Panthers game). Instead we're 4-6 and a dumpster fire.
The team clearly has the talent to A) put up 40 points B) hold opponents to around 20 points C) play disciplined, penalty-free football with a balanced mix of run and pass.
The only person to blame for the fact that we've only played well for 3 games out of 10 (Det, GB, Car) is Sean Payton. He's the reason.

Duly noted, but I wish people would stop parroting the meme that he's a "top coach". You still hear more raves about Payton than rants.
When he stops doing stupid shite like burning a timeout before a key 4th and 2 while he decides (proving that he hadn't made his decision and factored it in to his 3rd down play call, proving that he's no longer a great offensive mind) than I'll be more inclined to stop harping on how bad he is.
A basic rule of thumb for any offensive play caller is that if you are going into a 3rd down and short play thinking there's a decent chance that you'll be going for it on 4th down, you need to realize A) the importance of making that "go for it or not" quick decision, because burning a timeout is unacceptable and B) the importance of using the 3rd down play to "set up" the potential 4th down play. Draws out of passing formations, quick snaps on 4th and short (like the Patriots do repeatedly) are the marks of a smart coach and a well-trained offensive team. We see none of these things from Payton's teams since 2011.
