I agree....and I'm very interested in their new 2.8 liter Duramax I-4. Mid sized trucks will get more popular as full sized trucks become much more expensive, with the new technology and materials designed to meet CAFE regs. Washington seems at war with pickup trucks at the moment. I think GM made the right move bringing them to market now. The V6 gas model I test drove was shockingly comfortable, smooth, and quiet.

I think this will trigger Toyota's move to bring a new Tacoma design soon.

Nissan is also bringing the updated Navara here as the Frontier. Very cool looking truck and I think this will bring a lot of new customers to Nissan.

Ford may eventually bring a true compact pickup to the market, but it will probably be 4-5 years from now. I'm not sure if small trucks will be as popular as mid sized models.

So, a truck that GM got rid of for poor performance and is coming back as a new vehicle "blows Toyota out of the water".

How do you arrive at that?
