not everyone on that staff made it through. After that year Chavis came in after the failed dual D-cord staff.

That being said, CLM and his staff have the team ready for 2015 even with what looks to be weak QB play.

The problem in 2008 was largely a terrible defense. We averaged 30 ppg on offense (I knew Lee turned it over A LOT). He really fixed the problem by hiring the Chief. How does he fix an offense that he controls? We all know he is not going to hand it over to an OC and stay away.

Comparing this year to 2008 is not an accurate comparison.

He needs to learn to adapt and/or relinquish control to someone who will (assuming he actually has as much control as is asserted). Whether he will or not is the real question.

This is the case. People forget we had a rocky recruiting year in 2012 and then lost all of our upperclassment to the NFL in subsequent seasons...

That's on the defense. We should have finished the year with one loss the way the offense played.

I get it dude....D, O, STs...but theres only one head to the snake. Can't just hang it all on the D last year...see Ol Piss game.

500 fricking yards. 3 picks don't excuse that (lack of) performance.

Are you forgetting some years and you have to back out the defensive and special teams scores. Are you actually defending LM's offense? OK, go ahead. Even with the superior players last year it finished no higher than 6th. Wow.

Exactly...and then the O completely lost their shite after the 1st qtr. at Bama.

That was my only point.....despite being prolific most of the season, they didn't show up and take care of business in 2 of our 3 losses.

imo our defense only really costs us the uga last year

True. offense as much to blame for ole miss and as usual, regardless of talent and experience, Miles' offense was not scoring much on Bama.

I would ask you the same question. The defense played its worst games of the year in 2 of our 3 losses. Of course, the offense didn't do us any favors against Ole Miss with three picks in the 1st half and 2 in the end zone.

Ranked 57th overall. I should have stated Passing offense which was 100th out of 120. Average passing game and we walk to a NC.

Exactly. And considering how bad the defense was, the offense had to score as much as possible, unlike say 2003. And overall it did a good job, but it's revisionist history to act like it dominated like 1996 Florida.

Even worse, 2012 was a bad offense with some really great talent. No excuse for it.

Is that a rule that is special to us only? Or does every team have to do that?

When idiots like you try too hard to shite on it, absolutely.

Hmm, and lets take a look at some of the other offense from last year. Sure, we were middle of the pack last year in the SEC, but we were 24th in the nation. But feel free to try to shite on the offense some more last year. You look really smart doing it.

I think the overall issue some of us have is why can't LSU have an offense capable of scoring on Bama in a year loaded with experienced NFL talent? If that offense was insufficient, them it's almost hopeless to expect better than a 2nd place division finish.

Les was forced to hire a big time DC. Thank You Chavis. I thank you everday.

LSU will not beat bama as long as Saban is still in Tuscaloosa. People need to accept that.

This is the 90's all over again. The cancer has set in. I wish LSU would consider pulling the plug now.
