So is every Les Miles practice report from spring, summer, and weekly total BS?

I realize none of you like Guilbeau but he was refuting a lot of Miles' practice reports from preseason saying that's not what he heard. GG said both QB's were struggling badly at the same time Les was praising how well they were doing.
Also, wasn't there a closed scrimmage early in the year where the reported stats were fudged?
I can understand protecting your players or putting a positive spin on things, but do you think Les is just outright making up lies and then praying the come to fruition?

i certainly think that there's a want to believe that the play is of an equal quality to which is described just so you know

Ask yourself this.
Has Guilbeau realized by now that Miles isn't going to say that certain players were horrible in practice?

He's not going to throw his players under the bus, and I doubt he feels like he "owes" the media answers to their questions. It's his team and I'm sure he doesn't care whether or not the information that gets reported to the fans is "accurate"

Plenty of coaches do this. Hyperbole and flat out bullshite from spring practice happens everywhere. It's a running joke, if you happen to keep up with any team in addition to LSU. Sumlin straight up cancelled the spring game because he said they didn't need it.
You guys really seem to overvalue how much coaches care about your opinion. Any one of them will say what they need to say to make their job easier. Saban and Belichick do it by treating reporters like scum. Miles and Malzahn prettymuch just repeat the question in an affirmative way. As an adult fan, you shouldn't need someone to explain to you that coach speak is hardly ever honest.

Nothing of value can ever be taken away from a Les Miles interview. If you need any evidence of this, just tune into a weekly Les Miles show on Wednesday nights. Watch me predict future for this Wednesdays show:
Gary will call in and mispronounce the names of our starting players. Les will chuckle and give a non-answer, stating his players are progressing.
12 year old girl will call in from Texas and tell Les that she still believes in him and thinks the team will be great in the last 2 games. The crowd will clap and Les will ask her how her water polo game is going.
Then 12 other callers will call in with softball questions as Les pats himself on the back.
Live question segment will start with 3 random people saying how much they love and respect Les, and then the drunk twin will get up there and ramble on for 4 minutes of straight terrible jokes.
There, I saved you an hour of your life.

Well, he didn't lie when he said that it was tough to moved the ball on the defense during practice/scrimmages. Turns out, the offense sucks is the reason why!
I can't see how the pumpers continue to support him. Watching every interview of him is like watching Forrest gump. His verbage is similar to his playbook, its the same bullshite no matter what game or time of the year.

Les Miles will never acknowledge a shortcoming of one of his players or his team in general. This goes for pre-season and in-season.

There was a reason les wasn't releasing an stats in preseason

This isn't a new development, nor is it even on the radar in terms of bones I have to pick with Les.

Les lies in every post game interview where he tries to convince us that the offense/jennings is improving after we just watched a shite show. What makes you think he isn't lying when reporting what happens in practice if he lies after we all watched exactly what went down?

Me either. Every coach does it and it seems like the better the coach, the more disinformation he spews. However, Les isn't doing himself any favors by setting the expectations at a level that he cannot hope to achieve.

Yes.
If Les is speaking, he is BSing.

Yes. Les' practice reports are gross exaggerations, intentionally deceptive, and bold face lies. The highlight of an LSU practice is the Big Cat drill and that is a joke. Watching that tells you a lot about Miles' practice acumen.
