If starting Jennings is wrong I don't want to be right!

Problem with your synopsis is that as you say about Harris well the same can be said about Jennings who has a floor as a ceiling compared to Harris.

For the record I think starting Harris at Auburn was the wrong move. I think that he was set up to fail in that situation. My question is why has Harris not been given another chance? I wonder what it would take for Miles to pull Jennings and put Harris in?

It's the coaches fault that neither of the two QB are ready for SEC competition. It's not like the season just started. Not earning the big bucks they make.

Tired of hearing neither QB is ready.

I would not blame Harris on bit if he bolted to JUCO and then D1.

Smart kid and great talent to be wasted by Miles and Cameron.

I wish him well.

I know Jennings is not ready but why play another qb that isn't ready either. What do we have to say about the running game that hasn't been doing anything. I thought that was the strong point of our offense. Why blame one man when we have about 5 offensive coaches that should be at fault.

Jennings was horrible in our wins.

And Harris might not be "ready," but he has clearly shown he is the superior talent

Yes it was the wrong move he was destined to fail that game. And why he hasn't gotten any snaps since is an unsolved mystery to me. Everyone can see that the kid has the potential to be a real good qb. Yes he looked bad in his only start but Jennings has looked horrible in his 10 starts.

If the two guys are equal, you play the better talent with more eligibility. Pretty simple really.

When the QB doesn't account for any offense and you have 2 TEs and a FB who aren't threats, how do you expect to run against a D that doesn't have to play honest?

There's plenty of blame to go around, but when many moving parts change but the result remains the same, eventually logic dictates that the consistent factor is likely to blame.

Your logic is almost as bad as your grammar. You miss the point...........we don't necessarily want Harris, or Jennings, or Hayden Rettig. We want a coaching staff who doesn't believe that an offense is a necessary evil.

I feel sorry for Jennings because he has to sense that the coaches have no confidence in his passing game.........but I hurt for the kid because when we do pass it is usually in a passing situation when everyone in the damn stadium knows he is going to pass.......He is in an offensive system that does not utilize the tight end, fullback as part of the passing game......but most importantly he is asked to complete passes in so many situations that are not high percentage passes. Our coaching staff does not realize that a short pass to a guy with the talent of Fournette can be as effective as a long completion.

Last night against Ark. the Tigers opened up the passing game only after the Razorbacks scored their second touchdown. Almost every pass thrown was plus ten yards down the field, or a long throw across the field. We don't throw high percentage passes.

Everyone is so friggin' tired of offenses that rarely rank in the top half of FBS teams......and more often then not....that don't make it to the top 100! In time this has to affect recruiting.

I don't think they're intentionally wasting his talent, but I do think they're grossly mismanaging his growth. When you have a game as bad as Auburn, it is in their best interest and his to get him back out there in a limited capacity as soon as possible.

As a coach you can't just overlook bad play at any position with a highly recruited player sitting on the bench. They should just be upfront with him and tell him what they're doing. Explain the plan or at least why they still believe he's not ready yet to at least get a few snaps each game. Even Auburn has started letting Johnson get snaps at QB again.

yall seen Harris throw Hail Mary touchdowns now he ready to be a starting qb. He gets the start against AU who was then number 3 in the nation (now a team that really isn't good) and Harris got banged up so why would I feed my youngster to the wolves knowing he's not ready. What yall gone say when Harris only complete 8 to 10 passes for 133 yards a game. We do not throw the ball down field and 1st 2nd 3rd down we run the ball. Then I guess the blame goes back to the coaches and not Harris

Firstly, if you want people to take you seriously at least learn English.

Secondly, your logic is terrible. If we have 2 QB's on equal standing, and one has demonstrated an inability to score a single point, what is the downside of trying the other option? It's pure insanity that Harris didn't play last night.

Down by 3 scores, did you believe Jennings could produce a comeback? What would change next year in how all of a sudden Harris became so much more experienced when he hasn't had a significant snap since the Auburn game this season? Many coaches would lean towards experience with a defense that has improved once the new season started even if that sophomore looked like a world beater. Without seeing him play against more competition, the Auburn film is the last bit of game film you have left on him.
