Apparently the Saints are being investigated by the NFL for "stashing" LB Todd Davis. Davis was acquired from the Broncos early in the season and played in 3 games (beginning in wk 7 v Detroit).
The story goes: The Saints cut Davis early in the week and re-signed him to the PS on Friday. Problem is - The Denver Broncos wanted to sign him Thursday but were unable to reach him because he was in team meetings at the Saints facility.
ETA:
Davis eventually talked with the Broncos, but not until after he the inquiry had begun according to ESPN.
FWIW - The Saints official site does not show any transaction history for Davis beyond October 29th when he was moved from the PS to the active roster. CBSsports.com is showing Davis as being cut by the Saints this past Wednesday (11/12) and signed the following day by the Broncos (Thurs, 11/13).

When you said "stashing," for a second, I thought we were talking about Coach Payton's stash again.

I am sure he has an agent. I doubt teams contact the players directly any more and all contact is through a player's agent

I assume Rogder will just take away a 2nd and 3rd round pick

Coach SP will be suspended for a year, round picks 1 and 2 will be forfeited, and Jimmy Graham will be forced to being classified as a receiver.

Goodbye 2015 draft, we hardly knew ye

I think this is another example of stuff most if not all teams do all the time... but because it's the Broncos...and because it's the Saints - We are going to get the inquisition.

I think it's pretty important to mention that Davis eventually went over to the Broncos anyway.

So did we sign him or no?

Good to see this is what the league is doing with their time...

I don't even care anymore, just win 2-3 games in a row. Take away all the draft picks next year, we will get by with UDFAs
