I'm looking to veer away from the gumbo-chili-soup kind of day.
I have the Inlaws in town and will be cooking something up this evening.
What are you guys cooking today??
Just for fun we can throw in what are you drinking also.
Me: Fullers 2011 vintage ale.

Spaghetti and meatballs. Some good ol' fashioned warm comfort food FTW.
Doing my sausage, kale, and potato soup for tomorrow when we're supposed to have snow on the ground.

Bone in ribeyes. Might try this reverse sear BS.

Man that reverse sear is looking good. Hard to stear away from what you know with a good ole ribeye though.

I know we have talked about this here. If someone can give me the reverse sear method, I would appreciate it. Oven then grill? Or oven then cast iron.
I like my steak bleeding rare fwiw. Mrs House likes her steak just moo-ing slightly.
Tia.

Probably baked ziti from an old Cooking Light recipe.
Just bought a bunch of goat meat and tamales at the farmer's market, but will save them for another day. Unless I come home from the jazz and blues fest too cold/tired to cook, then it's tamale time.

I think I'm going to try to make a sweet potato and andouille hash. Rouses ground up some andouille for me. I can't decide if that will be good or gross. If the dish works, it might get added to my Thanksgiving menu. Also going to cook some shrimp.

I made sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits for breakfast. Finished my coffee. Then, I made a chicken and andouille gumbo that we'll have for lunch tomorrow.

I am going to make meatballs. The better half got some ricotta to mix in because I've seen this mentioned. Does that replace the egg? I am new at cooking.
