Have fun tailgating in the 60% chance of wintry mix.

I'm biased but I'll share my thoughts.

The fans and atmosphere in Fayetteville aren't the same as in Little Rock. Fayetteville is far more alum and students, and it is way more reserved and not as redneck or rowdy.

We have a decent tailgating culture in Fayetteville, but its average. The main obstacle is topography, and you'll get it once you've visited. The only flat areas of campus are south of the stadium where some large parking lots are located, south of Bud Walton Arena. A lot of the tailgating takes places just off campus, but its in neighborhoods and hillsides that you won't even notice unless you're familiar with the area. The area west of the stadium is a big tailgating area, but its sort of like tailgating at Machu Picchu, with terraced areas all up into the trees. There are a few tailgating areas where you can see "down" into the stadium.

The Dickson Street area is as strong as any college bar/entertainment area anywhere. I don't understand why it doesn't get more love from outsiders.

In the past, the game was a holiday weekend, so tailgating was minimal. Unfortunately the extreme cold will keep it tempered this weekend, too.

Hands down Fayetteville is the second best bar/college town to Athens. OP dont let the Little Rock Tigers post scare you. It is night and day different from Fayetteville

More backwood, country arse inbred folks than you will see at any other sec venue, but you have to understand. They are ALL that state has. No pro teams or any other major college program. They are passionate about their team but embarass themselves in the process, but they don't get that.

Can't speak for Fayetteville, little rock in2006 was my worst away game experience, and I was at the 2004 arse whipping in Athens.
Only haven't been to Fayetteville or lexington. Little rock was bad enough to never make me want to be around Arkansas fans again

Yeah, the LR crowd is completely different from the Fayetteville crowd. LR games attract all of the hicks from southern Arkansas

Don't blame them though. Living that close to Louisiana must take its tolls

Great college town. Bars and restaurants in great area. We stayed in a house walking distance to the stadium. The stadium was small but nice. This part of the country is really pretty if it snows will be awesome The Ark fans were very nice. Fayetteville is hard to get to but well worth the trip. I've been to every SEC school except Missouri, I would definitely return to a Fayetteville. Wish I was going! Enjoy, but dress warm. It was really cold (at least to me) 2 years ago when we went over Thanksgiving.

Went last year for Aggie game. Beautiful state. Went to Dickson St. Friday night and litteraly had to look for people in red. Aggies were everywhere. It felt like it was an Aggies home game. A shop owner asked how the hell we got so many tickets.

Fans were very friendly. Traffic was the worst I have ever seen. Yes, worse than LSU. After the game walk to Dickson St. And party because your alternative is sitting in traffic for two hours.

That is where we were parked. The game I was referring to was in 2010. It was brutal. We attended previous games in Little Rock and never had a problem. Maybe they were especially geared up for the 2010 game because that was the best team they had since we beat their butts in the 1966 Cotton Bowl.

Tailgating is going to suck dick this weekend. I hardly know anyone who wants to put up with the weather to do it.

The 2002 last second loss in LR was the only time in my life I felt threaten after a college football game. It was a horrible and unnecessary bad experience. I have no interest in ever returning to the state of Arkansas, too many other safe options to visit.

I know many Arkansas fans and make no mistake about it Hog fans hate LSU more than any team on their schedule. They lost all their rival games when they entered the SEC and the "boot" was created and LSU never really took the game as a rival game.

When the game was moved from Thanksgiving this made the hog fans hate LSU even more, I am telling you this is the game of the year they circle.

Hog fans have a chip on their shoulder and coming from a very good friend in the know Arkansas moved the game from Little Rock to Fayetteville because of the colder weather and would be to their advantage and when the game was moved a week earlier this ruined the advantage. This week they are crowing thinking they will get the weather advantage

We will only play one more SEC game in Little Rock after this season (probably Vandy in 2016), we moved LSU up here just as part of the winding down of that contract. Also, the weather in November up here is very unpredictable. Any given weekend up here in November is just as likely to be T shirt weather (was 73 on Monday) as parka weather so moving the game back 6 days over time won't have much effect on the temperature.

Without a doubt. In 2006, we parked on the golf course. Needless to say, on the walk to the stadium, our group had multiple rounds of full, freshly opened 10 oz. beer cans tossed at us from 60-70 feet away. I wish I was joking.

Little Rock fans are like Nola fans. A majority are there just to tailgate and start shite.

Much different crowd in Fayetteville.
