Miles' recruiting genius shows in getting stud WRs to come here. Reuben Randle could have done with a little more of a better throwing situation.

The only thing i can say is, odell passed him up as a rookie. Maybe rueben needed to do more.

From a guy that knows Dural on 24/7

Travin started off the season with a bang and there was some talk about him maybe leaving after this year because it was said that scouts really love his length and speed. Now I know it's early and things can change fast when $ starts flying but.......

......I had a brief conversation through texting yesterday with Dural's mom. We talked about the Alabama game and she said all that Travin kept saying was " I can't believe we loss." She said that the fans were telling him( and other players) to keep there heads up cause there is still a lot to play for. So whoever these fans were.......thank you.

Ok let's get to the point.

I then went on to talk about how good this team should be next year and she agreed. At that point I threw in this comment. " just make Travin stay another year so that he can be a part of it"

Her reply was, "oh yes, definately. We want that DEGREE!!! That's what will make mom happy."

Again, I know things can change but as far as 2015 is concerned, Dural will be back. [/quote]

you idiots thinking these guys need a round 1 or 2 grade to leave are clueless. these players all see the James Wright, Trai Turner, and Alfred Blue's of the world making it.
We all said Trai shouldn't leave, now he is a starting RG in the NFL.
Wright and Blue couldn't touch the field on our team yet they are playing in the NFL. you don't have to grade out as a top draft pick to make it in the NFL. all the players see this and know they can leave too. its just the way it is.

dural doesnt have the body that nfl guys drool over.

his body type and his speed are the 2 things he has going for him.

He's about 6'2" 190 or so. And he has legit 4.4 speed.

i dont know where you guys get this shite from. If he stays and can get any kind of decent QB play next year( ie a guy that can complete a simple pass) he'll be drafted higher than Randle.

yeah he needs to come back to add to his game. He'll definitely play in the NFL though not sure why some think he isn't.

He's not one of these physical freaks that shoots up the draft board. I think he's probably a 4th rd pick right now.

Man, I respectfully disagree. Dural has good height, good hands, great speed, good strength. I see him as a mid-second round guy. What's more, I don't think his draft stock goes up at all if he stays. A lot of fans think better stats will improve your draft position, but that's generally not so. What improves your position is showing more ability. Dural has already shown what he can do.

Draft eligible guys who have already demonstrated what they can do, and who should declare:

Dural, Kwon, Hunter, Mills, J. Collins, D. Gordon, Vadal (Vadal should return only if he has capability to be a dominant college LT)

Those who should return:
Q. Thomas, J. Hawkins, L. Louis (and the others who aren't starting)

Some of those who I listed as "should declare" might not go above round four. But I think they should go because they won't improve their draft position by returning. Example: J. Collins will not get any quicker, and that's what will keep him as an NFL journeyman.

It's a shame for him spring practice is after the NFL draft because if it was before and Jennings "won" the job again I'd declare.

WTF were you watching? OBJ was not in Randle's class that year. Bama hardly even covered him in the BCS game.

He's watching the Giants now. He's not talking about LSU. And Odell has been Manning's go-to guy the past few games, after missing the first 5-6 games and all of preseason. Randle is a third year NFL player with the Giants, Odell a rookie.

God I hope he stays, if he goes the only pattern we will have left in the offense is jump ball to Malachi.

He really needs to come back. He's got great speed, but I think he could use some work on route-running.

THIS

Plus he need to gain the ability to be more physical...he can't get off the line in bump and run

I don't think dural leaves early. We'll have all of the WR's back next year IMO

Thats putting him as the 50th(ish) best prospect out there. Im not downing the kid, but I just dont believe this is possible this year.

Dural Staying or Leaving?

He'd be a fool to leave after this woeful passing season. A sophomore receiver should be a household name (e.g. Marquise Lee/Sammy Watkins) in order to even begin contemplating such a decision.

His body of work is limited at this point and his skillset has not been fully proven. His blocking ability doesn't stand out in the way that it has for past LSU WRs and he doesn't seem to be one of the most refined route runners...yet.

However, has elite speed, high points the ball, and has proven to have incredible hands. There is just not quite enough film on the guy to warrant him leaving early. I don't see how he would grade out as a 1st or 2nd-round prospect when you consider he has less than 40 career receptions.

I'd say no, given the new draft-status guidelines of the NFL. We should see far fewer border-line guys making the jump, and more guys hanging around to try and improve their stock. Dural is no better than a late round pick at the moment. I believe he stays. Hope so anyway.
