We normally order a couple of fried turkeys from Leaders in Gonzales and pick them up around noon on Thanksgiving. Just found out they no longer do them. A couple of places we checked only fry them the day before. That sucks. Anybody have a recommendation on who to use in the Prairieville area? No, I'm not doing it myself.

Agree.

The only pre-fried I've ever eaten tasted like crap.

Some people say it tastes just like one fried in oil, I disagree with those people

I concur, the oil less "fryers" are not bad, but it ain't as good as a fried turkey.,

Cost too much fricking money just to do one. At least do two. I used to do it all the time. $100 bucks in oil, plus injectors plus turkeys every Thanksgiving and Christmas will make you rethink the oven.

Get the oil when it is on sale, I always keep an eye out for the sales. It will keep, and if you do one turkey on Thanksgiving and one on Christmas, you can recover most of the oil and use it twice.
