Has the playoff diminished the regular season to you?

This was one of the biggest arguments against a playoff system being put in place. How does it personally feel to you?

Only dumbasses think that. Under the old system only about five teams had a shot by this point in the season. Everyone else was saying for the la-Z-Boy bowl or some shite. Now, you've got ten to twelve with hopes.

If anything it has made it MORE intriguing. You have at least 10, if not 12-15 teams currently battling it out for those 4 spots. As a poster said above, usually by now it has been narrowed down to 5 or so, except for crazy mayhem years. More teams have more on the line at this point in the season, and it is much more exciting IMO.

It has enhanced the regular season, I think they could go to 8 before the regular season was diminished in any way.

I think it will diminish the bowl games to me if your team is not in the playoffs. 4 teams is not enough though.

The fine line to cross would be 8(5+3).
16 would be too much and would kill the season. Wetzel has even switched to 8.

There are so many meaningless games in CFB. A full scale playoff wold fix a lot of that bullshite. 16 teams.

not with a 4 team playoff. and with a month to go. but I believe it will diminish the regular season somewhat by the years end. they need to go ahead and go 8 teams. the 4 team thing means one team per region which means a lot of deserving teams are gonna stay home while the playoffs achieve somebody's definition of "balance". tv networks will love the "balance"

If ASU wins tomorrow, the rest of our schedule is very... Playoff reachable. If this were the BCS era, ASU would still be on the outside looking in from a 3-5 spot (assuming we win out). If ASU gets to around No. 5-6, ASU has a chance at the friggin national title
