Battery Problems with Macbook Air

I have a Mid-2012 Macbook Air running Mavericks. Today, my battery says it needs to be serviced. My cycle count is 238. This article on Apple's website says the maximum cycle count for my model should be 1,000 cycles and still be at 80%. iStat says my battery health is at 46%. Probably not going to replace it soon because I am usually close to a charger.
Should I be upset about not even reaching a quarter of the maximum cycle count?

I would. Take it in they have something they test the battery with. If it's defective they may replace free even if out of warranty.
Do you have Apple care?

When my MBP battery failed to keep a charge and the cycle count was much lower than it was rated for, Apple replaced it for free even though I was out of warranty. I was a couple of years out of my Apple Care.
