This move was terrible on so many levels. I literally was in awe of how bad it was while watching it.

For me, I don't give a damn how similar or dissimilar it was to the book. If I wanted the book, I would have read the book.
Was a very good movie. Flew under the radar a bit, but was an enjoyable movie.

If you haven't read the book, you'll probably like it.
If you've read the book, you'll probably hate it.

The stupidity ruined it for me

The hate was more centered on the fact that it took basically nothing from the book but the title.
And that there was a version that actually tied together elements of the world the book made, but it was deemed too bleak and depressing and was reshot.
I think the cut off was Israel. Everything after that was completely rewritten AND reshot to have a happier ending.

Heard the zombies didn't even run in the book.
Correct, they were Walking Dead-style zombies in the book.
The book was awesome... I enjoyed the movie but I watched it before reading the book, so I didn't feel let down. It just made reading the book better.
It's a good popcorn flick.
The only plot point that was in both the book and movie was the Jerusalem thing.

It's a good movie, but I didn't care for the ending.

Yes. Badass zombies. Not those pussy walk around like Frankenstein zombies.
I refuse to acknowledge infected as zombies, zombies are walkers, they are not fast.

For the money they spent it should've been better.

I really liked it because it wasn't just a zombie movie. It was a movie about the search for the cure more so than just a mindless killing.
Though i did read the book, that's not why i didn't care for it.
It was too much CGI. I hate that. That's what ruined the last 2 matrix movies.

I hate reading books, but this is one time where I actually had read the book beforehand. I knew after the first trailer that it was gonna be nothing like the book, so the fact that it was so different didn't bother me as much as I just felt like they shouldn't have called it WWZ in the first place.
As for the movie itself, it was decent enough. Enjoyable in its own right, despite several scenes that just overflowed with stupidity (along with waves of zombies, which was hilariously bad).
As for the book, it really would make a completely badass movie if someone stuck to the source material. I can imagine the Atchafalaya Basin scene and Yonkers in my mind, and it could be fricking awesome. I always wondered what would've happened with it had Leo DiCaprio's company gotten the rights to it instead of Pitt's company...I wonder if they'd have used the book as actual source material. Maybe one day we'll find out, because it really would make for an awesome flick if done right.

This.
And this book could be written into a mini-series at the least.

Plus the India boat escape, and Iran/Pakistan.

Non book reader checking in. I thought the movie sucked. I generally enjoy popcorn action flicks, but this one just didn't do it for me.
