Cruz poised to make life miserable for McConnell
Sweet Jesus! ...cause Obama might not veto
Everythying the republicans try to do in a pragmatic fashion over the next 2 years will not be conservativ-er-er-er enough for Cruz. He'll grab the spotlight at every opportunity...and make life miserable for pretty much everybody ...except for Ted Cruz and his small group of supportors.

CNN) -- Mitch McConnell could very well become the Senate majority leader after Tuesday's midterm elections, but don't count on Ted Cruz to make it an easy transition for the Kentucky Republican.
Cruz, a Republican senator from Texas who's eying a 2016 presidential bid, all but promised to raise hell next year should his party control the Senate.
In an interview with The Washington Post published Sunday, Cruz refused to pledge his support to McConnell, the current minority leader in the Senate, and outlined what he believes should be the chamber's priorities.

While Cruz has campaigned for many mainstream Republican candidates this year, his new comments indicate he's aiming to re-claim the mantle of Republican insurgent, a role that helped define his first year in the Senate in 2013.
quote:
He also hopes a Republican Senate will "pursue every means possible to repeal Obamacare," just as the GOP-controlled House has tried more than 50 times to dismantle the health care law.

You're right. This thread really "dispointed" me enough that I will feel this way for AT LEAST two years.

If the GOP takes all of Congress and not a single law is made in the next two years, I'll be ecstatic.

This does not disappoint me at all.
But I tend to agree, washington will continue to disappoint in general

Why is this bad exactly?

No kidding. I saw some writer make the claim (and I can't remember who) that he was a firm member of the "Don't just do something, sit there!" camp. Count me in those ranks.

Do you even politic, bro?
Tax reform? Cutting budgets? Launch investigations into IRS shenanigans? Rolling back regulations on small business? Approve Keystone pipeline that is backed by some congressional democrats putting Obama in a bad position...forcing him to approve?

One of the reasons I voted for him. And I continue to support him because I believe in liberty and freedom as unrestricted as possible.

They'll likely spend 18 months continually voting to repeal Obamacare. Seriously.

...and shutting down the government (wasting billions) so he can raise his profile and generate campaign contributions for his 2016 run? Yeah, he's a real America-lover.
